Family patriarch D. Ray White, murdered in 1985, is a dancing legend and folk hero in these parts. He was profiled in the PBS documentary “Talking Feet,” and was a master at inventing clever scams to counter “company town” corruption and poverty: he is said to have had his entire family declared mentally ill, to collect government aid funds.
Interesting people. I hope I'm not related to any of them.
Hey, you are related to me, and I'm “larger-than-life” in Nashville (as your cousin told me). So I guess, they picture me as a tap-dancer and a chain-swinging rock-singer, that is, an incarnation of eroticism and a very interesting person. Isn't it funny that tap-dancing - shooting - and stabbing are the activities of the same order?
In Nashville as I knew it, only the Country Music Hall of Fame is larger than life-- they must have added a wing for you, dear O. I wonder how small “life” is for some definitions of “larger than life.”
